Day 1 – Monday: Welcome to Zamość! Learning by the River
The first day of our international mobility began with smiles, excitement, and warm welcomes. Students and teachers from Turkey, Italy, Spain, and Poland met for the first time at Szkoła Podstawowa nr 7 in Zamość.
After a tour around the school and some energising icebreakers, participants joined an outdoor activities. At the Zamość reservoir by the Topornica River, students participated in an interactive workshop and the educational game “Locals by the River.”
In groups, they designed eco-friendly riverside residences while considering environmental factors such as water flow, vegetation, and energy sources. This hands-on activity encouraged innovative thinking, collaboration, and awareness of responsible consumption and sustainable city design.
Monday was all about teamwork and creativity in the school and in the open air!
Day 2 – Tuesday: Discovering Water in Nature
On Tuesday, participants travelled to the breathtaking Roztocze National Park, where they explored the local water ecosystems by hiking along crystal-clear streams.
During the educational visit to the Church on the Water in Zwierzyniec and the Roztocze National Park Museum, students learned how natural water systems support biodiversity and why it is crucial to protect them. The experience helped everyone better understand the link between clean water, life below water, and life on land — key aspects of the SDGs.
The day combined adventure, learning, and reflection on how nature can inspire sustainable living.
Day 3 – Wednesday: Exploring Water Ecosystems
The 3rd day started with an educational workshop at Zamojska Akademia Kultury exploring water ecosystems. Through interactive experiments and discussions, students discovered how water connects all living organisms and how essential it is to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals related to health, environment, and climate.
The day ended with an outdoor City Game in the UNESCO-listed Old Town of Zamość — an exciting way to learn about the city’s historical architecture and sustainable urban planning inspired by the Renaissance ideal of a “perfect city.”
The afternoon brought time for reflection — a moment to capture new friendships, ideas, and environmental insights.
Day 4 – Thursday: Learning, Building, and Having Fun
Thursday turned into a day of pure creativity and discovery using the modern equipment from the Polish Laboratoria Przyszłości (Laboratories of the Future) programme.
Students explored Korbo construction sets, practiced coding with educational mice, and built machines with LEGO Education Brick Machine kits. These activities combined technology, problem-solving, and teamwork, showing how innovation can support sustainable development in education.
It was a joyful day full of learning, laughter, and cultural exchange — truly a day of building bridges between countries through play, friendship, and shared curiosity.
The evening ended beautifully with a Cultural Night and Barbecue, featuring traditional dishes from each partner country.
